No, we regret to inform you that breakfast is exclusively available for guests staying with us.

Yes, you are most welcome, you may book for Afternoon Tea at the Jim Thompson Tea Lounge with our Concierge via WhatsApp at +6018 623 0632 to reserve your table. Kindly note that a deposit is required for reservation. Afternoon Tea is served daily from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.

Is there A SWIMMING POOL In the resort?

No, we do not have a swimming pool at Cameron Highlands Resort.

ARE WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE FACILITIES AVAILABLE IN THE RESORT?

Yes, an alternative entrance is available for elderly or wheelchair-bound guests. This entrance is located at our Spa entrance, equipped with a steel ramp, allowing convenient access to the rooms and facilities at our resort. This option is more suitable as the main lobby entrance has steep stairs which may be challenging for guests with mobility issues.

For guests requiring this access, we will be pleased to assign a ground floor room, as the upper floor rooms are accessible only via stairs. Kindly inform our Travel Centre of your requirements ahead of your stay.

Cameron Highlands enjoys a naturally cool climate year-round, with temperatures typically ranging between 14°C and 24°C, offering crisp mornings and comfortably cool evenings. As such, our rooms are not equipped with air conditioning. Fans are provided for your comfort.

DO YOU PROVIDE A PRAYER MAT?

Yes a prayer mat can be provided, kindly inform our Travel Centre of your requirements ahead of your stay.

CAN I REQUEST AN ADDITIONAL BED FOR A THIRD PERSON?

Please be informed that some of our rooms accommodate a maximum of 2 Adults and 1 Child (11 years old and below).

If guests are travelling with 3 Adults, we recommend any of the following 3 options:
1. Booking 2x Deluxe Rooms
2. Booking 1x Two Bedroom Suite
3. Booking 1x Signature Suite

Are baby cots available?

Yes, baby cots can be arranged. Please contact us ahead of your stay so we may make the necessary arrangements.

Yes, there are limited connection rooms, these are available in limited units of Deluxe Rooms. Kindly inform our Travel Centre ahead of making your reservation to request connecting rooms. Please note that these are subject to availability.

Are LIFTS AVAILABLE TO ACCESS THE 1ST FLOOR?

We regret to inform you that upper-floor rooms are accessible only via stairs. In the case that you are travelling with a guest requiring an accessible entrance, kindly inform our Travel Centre of your requirements ahead of your stay.

CAN WE BRING OUR OWN ALCOHOL?

Yes, guests may bring alocoholic drinks to the resort. Kindly note that corkage fees apply in restaurants and public areas.

We offer decorations for Anniversaries and Birthday celebrations. For guests celebrating a birthday, we offer a complimentary slice of cake served during dinner time. Additional requests may incur charges, and are subject to availability.

WHAT EXPERIENCES OR ACTIVITIES ARE SUITABLE FOR FAMILIES TRAVELLING WITH CHILDREN?

For adventurous families, we recommend our Jungle Trek where guests can experience an extraordinary adventure through towering canopies, our Jim Thompson Trails offer a mystery adventure following through Jim Thompson’s final known footsteps. Guests may also book visits to the surrounding tea plantations, where children can explore nature and discover the Highlands’ lush landscapes.

For a more relaxed pace, families can enjoy our Leisure Trail, meandering along gentle paths, or a Cameronian Culinary Journey, where you harvest fresh produce and create a seasonal meal together.

ARE TOURS TO THE TEA PLANTATIONS AVAILABLE?

Yes, guests may choose from two thoughtfully arranged options to explore the surrounding tea plantations and highland attractions.

The Land Rover Experience (4x4 Private Tour)
Discover the highlands in comfort with a privately guided Land Rover experience, operated by our trusted local partner. Priced at MYR 400 nett per vehicle (accommodating 2–6 guests), this half-day journey of approximately four hours includes visits to the Mossy Forest, Tea Plantation, Strawberry Farm, Kea Farm morning market, and other highlights. Tours typically commence between 8:30am and 10:30am, though alternative morning timings may be arranged upon request.

Private Taxi Arrangement
For guests who prefer flexibility, a private taxi may be arranged at MYR 35 nett per hour (minimum three hours). This option provides transportation between your chosen attractions, with the driver waiting at each stop. Please note this is not a guided tour, and the Mossy Forest is not included in this arrangement. Timing may be scheduled in the morning or afternoon according to your preference.

Kindly note that both experiences are operated by external partners, and payment is to be made directly in cash to the respective driver or guide.

The Jim Thompson Mystery Experience is an immersive guided walk that follows the trail of Jim Thompson’s last known footsteps in the Cameron Highlands. Guests explore scenic forest paths while learning about his life, achievements, and the enduring mystery of his disappearance. It’s an experience that combines history, storytelling, and the Highlands’ natural beauty, offering both intrigue and discovery along the way.

WHO WAS JIM THOMPSON AND WHY IS HE REMEMBERED IN THE HIGHLANDS?

Jim Thompson was an American entrepreneur renowned for revitalising Thailand’s silk industry in the mid-20th century. He spent time in the Cameron Highlands and became fascinated by the region’s lush landscapes. In 1967, he mysteriously disappeared during a walk in these highlands, a story that has intrigued locals and visitors ever since. His legacy lives on through the trails and experiences that celebrate both the natural beauty and the history of the Highlands.
