Trails

Located on the spine of the Titiwangsa Mountain Range, the forests of Cameron Highlands reveal nature at its best. An outstanding example of the local jungle environment, its jade green depths, host a variety of exotic flora and fauna that dramatically change with the mountain's profile.

The highlands are also home to Malaysia's native Semai tribe, vegetable and fruit farms, flower farms, cactus farms, temples and some of the best tea plantations that have been established since the colonial days.

Cameron Highlands Resorts offers the following trail excursions:

Jim Thompson Mystery Trail
Jim Thompson's eye for beauty was not only confined to silk and ancient architecture. He had a genuine love of nature and walking off the beaten track, exploring the countryside and its surrounding jungle was one of his special pleasures. On Easter Sunday, March 26, 1967, Jim Thompson set out from the Moonlight Cottage for a mid-afternoon stroll in the jungle; at that point the Thai Silk King stepped out of myth into legend as he was never seen again. Thus, it is with pleasure that we present Cameron Highlands Resort Signature Trail; the 'Jim Thompson Mystery Trail' which combines his passion for the surrounding hills with the mysterious circumstances of his disappearance.
